Hi, Annie, Thanks for the friend invitation. Yes it was The Thirteenth Tale. I just didn't get excited by it. You also have a book on your shelf which I read some time ago and liked very much, Breakfast With Buddha. I hope you enjoy it. Happy reading, Julia.
and in your profile u mention that you love ancient history......Well......I'm actually mad about ancient history too.. especially egypt, rome and india.....can you think of any books with history as a plot???
One of my uncles recommended me....a book....Ummmm.. I really don't remember the name.........Some famous book.....with egyptian plot...........???? Really its hopeless.......Any way let me know........
hi anniem749 ..........
thanks for your note.......'n' sorry for the delayed reply..I'm writting my exams....(ewww!!!)....
'n way ...about the note... you mention that I need to be above 18 to read those books....But I'm going to be 17 completed in about a month....... so any chances of getting my hands on the book...?????
I just finished Gilead, but then read Home by the same author. My son said one of his friends thought she would have liked to have read both at the same time. There is a mystery that you already know if you read Gilead before reading Home. If you can get both books, I would suggest reading them together, and you won't know the mystery until near the endings.
Actually you see...I do own a copy of The diary of a young girl by anne frank...But the i heard that it was really full of war scenes and a bit greusome that i did'nt dare touch it...'cause i get easily affected by touching books...What do you think about the book....? And have you read anything lately..?
I just finished "The secret dream world of a shopaholic" by sophie kinsella.....It was awsome....!!!!
I had (I have since donated "Mr. Muo" it to a library sale :) the hardcover version & so I have one positive for ya...Twas an artful bookcover!:)
But yes, I gave myself permission not to finish it b/c it really wasn't my cup of tea. Good luck, anniem!! :)
Yeah I've read Two books of the narnia series, planning to read The lord of the rings(part 2:The two towers(i think)),..
I've already read mid summer's night dream(loved it),romeo and juliet(hated it..).....I'm gonna complete hercule poirot series by agatha christe(they are just fabulous..).....and 1000 Arabian night tales(not knight tales i think..)....
And I used to read Nancy Drew mystery stories..But then i really got upset when nancy and ned broke up in one book(i really don't remember which book..)..and I stopped with that...(i know it is really really silly of me to stop a series like that..I i just could'nt stand it..)...
As for the other books....like The secret garden...I've seen the movie but have not read the book...
Any way...I'm really into comedy novels and comic books.......I just love reading Archies and astreix..
What about you...????
hey...thank you for responding to my post about Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus...I can totally buy his inexpertise lol...don't get me wrong, some of this stuff is very true, but you wouldn't need to buy a book about it from this dude to figure it out
