If I could, I would spend my day with a book, on the beach surrounded by turqouise sea and bbq food :)

Just a really great feel good book. Makes you realize how precious, and simple yet dynamic human relationships can be...loved it!

There are few books that reach out to your emotions, inspire your mind, and motivate your spirit to make a difference in the world. There are few stories which demonstrate that goodness and humanity are very much alive. There are few individuals which can be considered as visionaries who change the world by books. If you have ever loved a book - read this one. It is a MUST for people who love books. It tells the tale of a man who saw the need and addressed terrorism through education and books. It is not a new story, but it is definitely one which will inspire a new generation of world leaders.

The book seems to be dark, dull, and gruesome. And by all definitions it is. But just a rose can grow between the cracks of concrete, there is tenderness amidst the darkness in the book. With the simplicity of his characters & writing, McCarthy paints a very illustrative picture of a father-son relationship. The book makes you want to reach out and save the two characters from their hardships. Very well written, simple language, and easy to understand.

There are a few books that you really like, and then there are only a couple that get into your skin. This is definitely one of them! Every moment, every conflict, this book's main quotes come to mind. It is a very emotional book, especially for those who are close to our parents/family. Quick read, but quality work!

Written as the memoir of a boy who went through the war in Sierre Leone, not just as an observant, but as a participant. Although the book is about a topic very gruesome and saddening, the narration is beautifully simple, as if you are looking at the world through the eyes of a teenage boy. In a few words, I would describe the book as: simplistic yet emotional, saddening yet thought provoking, most of all - truly an insider's look into the life and thoughts of a child soldier. This book is incredibly important in our times as we struggle to control the violence against women and children in war torn countries.

This book helps especially when Medical students transition from the basic sciences to actually working with patients. I know there were so many instances where I would read a chapter the night before, and the following morning I saw the same thing on the wards. This book made me more aware of my chosen path and the obstacles that I may face. This book is a definite read, especially in today's complex societies!

A treasure for all book lovers. This book covers the dynamics of a reading group so diverse yet so similar to each other. Nafisi is very talented in telling the tale of young women in a society so often secluded by the rest of the world.

This was the first book I read and finished on my own, outside of school. And it will forever bring back the memories of a simpler time!

My absolute favorite book - as a child reading this book in high school definitely made me realize many things. however as time passes, I realize how many truths about life were addressed by Harper Lee
