hhhmmmm ... that almost sounds a little unfair ... though i am probably just jealous !!! (probably , nothin !)
Myself, I couldn't imagine working at a library, I'm quite sure I would do the same thing ... probably to the point where they'd create some sort of 28 day program to "cure" me .. !

Yah, I know ... I counted ... I've got thirteen scattered across my coffee table, only three of them being worked on though at the moment. But I've got about $1,000 worth of "must buy" books on my current list. (glorious ... isn't it though?)

    Hello, Anita,

Would you be able to give me your work e mail? I have some work complications (new YA librarian)... my first 2 months were my dream job but this past week was so awful I'd polish up my resume if I had the time.

So if you have time for me to ask your advice, I would surely appreciate it.

    Hello, Anita,

Have not seen you post lately...

We librarians should stick together, especially since, as of Jan. 1, I've been named our library's Teen Center Librarian. (YAY!)

I hope I can ask you for advice, and maybe even bounce ideas back and forth.

    Happy New Year!

Thanks for the 2nd girl referral--also ordered it and heartbreakers is on the almost next to read list..some of the Marvel graphic novels that I have enjoyed are:Wolverine:Origin, Wolverine:Weapon X, Daredevil:The Man without Fear by frank miller, and then for Batman:The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller,Batman:year one by frank miller, the killing joke by alan moore --same author of the watchmen, daredevil visionaries vol1 guardian devil by Kevin Smith...my reading of graphic novels is dated ie I have not read one for the past several years at least..sorry slow in getting these to you but I just finished my prof develop self-obervations and have been hyperfocused on those until this morning--yeehaw ! Enjoy Mike

    Anita,
Thanks for the additional vampire suggestions--I will eventually get to Unleashed.
Re Graphic Novels--I loved the Watchmen when it first came out by Alan Moore--recently reissued and read some of the original graphic novels by marvel and DC comics--Batman -dark knight, wolverine and daredevil--I liked the Frank Miller stuff---so feel free to rec newer stuff. I've had to read some leadership stuff and it was spectacular here this weekend--so hiking and other stuff got in way of reading.
    Enjoy and thanks

    Anita,
I picked up the heartbreakers and my coffee-klatch group said that it was not the kind of book that they normally see me reading--I then explained Shelfari and your recs--the other two are on order--they will be signing up and you may get more emails from the greater st louis area--I said your recs were very good--this was as a result of the parents asking me how I get so many good books--so you are now a little famous in the midwest
    thanks
