add gods in alabama--first time author--intense and provocative and the body of christopher creed---every student I've given it to loved it.
I actually spent the night in Sheridan,wyoming enroute to Calgary where I did my internship many years ago

Our Proust and the Squid book group just finished meeting and the middle school teachers recommended the following books:Savvy by I Law, The Postcard by Tony Abbott and Cicada Summer. I have not read any of them but will be ordering them. Enjoy! Mike C

Just finished James patterson's new book "The dangerous days of Daniel X" and would give it a 4 star rating--easy to read, short chapters that keep the pace going and an endearing character.

Better than Starbucks is one of the fastest growing literary/social groups on Shelfari, with good reason. the membership (not so much me, the founder) is literate and diverse, and by and large very intelligent. The name of the group comes from an argument that led to the founding.
