I am a filmmaker, film teacher and a writer by profession. At present I am dividing my time between Pune and Mumbai. I am based in Pune and work in Mumbai at Whistling Woods International limited. This is a film-school and I am Professor of Film Appreciation there. I work every alternate week in Mumbai. I have various interests and like to travel as well as meet people from diverse fields. i like to photograph things, people, places,landscapes. I have published a book on History of world cinema -that won the national award for that year-and have made several documentaries.I have travelled a bit - to many states of India and UK, Germany and Poland. Prior to this job I worked as Coordinator of a UNDP funded project Films for Human Development at Film and Television Institute of India,[FTII] Pune. And much prior to that I was on the faculty of FTII between 1980 and 1995. I have taught Film Appreciation, Film Direction and Screenplay writing at many National institutes within India.
I know this may sound solemn / pompous and may put you off... and if you are not put off by this, then you must be genuinely interested in people! « less
