A self proclaimed book addict with a book on the night stand, book in my bag, and audio book in the car. I am a workaholic who escapes through the minds of authors. My reading style if very random, and I often find myself over-reading a genre then changing topics completely. For example, I read every Tea-Cup Drama I could one month, then... more »

Not the best in the series, but still a great read.

This book is a must-read in today's political environment. Orson Scott Card presents a very reasonable tale of modern American Civil war. As always, Card is able to take a seemingly hoaky plot and turn it into a masterpiece.

This book is a fun mix of short stories. I would gladly recommend it.

This book was hit/miss. Some stories were wonderful, but many left me wondering who would ever publish these writers. I did, of course enjoy the Sookie short story, though it was a bit silly, but I would not give this book any true "go out and buy it" recommendation.

  • Deluxe
    • Rated 4 stars

I really enjoyed Deluxe. The author takes you through the history of luxury, luxury marketing, and the public's views on what constitutes luxury. Her writing style is far from dry, and more than well researched. She adds in many theories about the direction of the market, and has a limited understanding of business and economics, but keeping those thoughts in mind, her ideas are fascinating and worth thinking about after finishing the book.

Not one of the best of the Sookie series, but definitively worth reading.

I really enjoyed the Ravenscar Dynasty. Some parts were a bit repetitive, but overall the book has a fiery passion of competition and righteousness.

Nothing special, but had its moments. I am not sure I would recommend it, but I enjoyed reading it.

This book is a true political Manifesto. Ron Paul is well written and has no difficulties in expressing his opinions and theories. His information is well backed and cited. My only complaint in that it is a Manifesto as it sites very few incidences, and concentrates more on the assumption that you already are aware of the intricacies.

  • Wuthering Heights

This book is not at all what I expected, and I like it all the more for that. The characters are complex, the plot understandably vicious, and the culture of the time period interesting. Bronte seemed to have a couple of hiccups in the flow of the story (as it is narated by a person who is hearing the story through another person), but there is never a dull moment.
