Brief BioI'm the author of nine novels, one novella, and a nonfiction writing book. My writing roots are in romance and I've written seven romances for Arabesque and Harlequin/Silhouette. From general romance, I moved on to Christian romance, writing two novels for Tyndale House. I currently write what is called Christian fiction, Christian chick-lit, inspirational fiction and women's fiction. My next book, Up Pops the Devil, will be released by Avon A on July 29, 2008.
Book Awards and RecognitionsAwakening Mercy (2000), my first Christian romance title, was a finalist for the RITA Award given by Romance Writers of America (RWA) and the Christy Award given to books published for the Christian Booksellers Association (CBA).
Abiding Hope (2001) was awarded the 2002 Emma Award presented by the Romance Slam Jam.
The Essence-bestselling The Amen Sisters (2005 hard cover, 2007 trade) was named a Black Expressions Book Club main selection and was awarded the 2005 Emma Award for Favorite Inspirational Romance.
Up Pops the Devil (2008) has been selected a Featured Alternate selection of the Black Expressions Book Club.
