"I find television very educational. Every time someone turns it on, I go in the other room and read a book." ~ Groucho Marx

I enjoy reading any genre but my favorite would have to be romance. I started to really enjoy reading in 2004 because when I saw The Aviator with Leonardo DiCaprio I started getting books on Howard Hughes' life... more »

Let me know if like Dead and Gone. I should be starting on Charlaine soon myself. I finished writing my second book a bit back and got it to my publisher so I'm taking a short break before I start working seriously on the third. Which means I can actually read!

I enjoy most of James Patterson's books. I like his earlier Alex Cross novels better than his more recent, but I really do enjoy the Women's Murder Club series.

It's not that I don't like True Blood, but I just enjoy the books more than I enjoy the show. The character development is so much better in the books and some of the plot liberties they took with the TV series are not choices I exactly liked.

My Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. Glad to hear yours was too.

I'm just about done with the book I'm reading so I plan to start another Sookie novel soon. How about you?

Well, I definitely prefer the Charlaine Harris books to the True Blood series. That is one place where I am disappointed. I was also disappointed with the adaptation of the Hitcherhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the movies based on the James Patterson books (Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider).

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.

ooh that would be a good idea to put Breaking Dawn into two films, that way the story would have time to build rather than go so quickly (even with a 2+ hour length film) i'm just sad that my Carlisle didn't get much screen time, perhaps he'll have more in Eclipse. And enough with Jacob already, i really got tired of looking at him in New Moon, i knew before going to see it that it would be so, definately not enough Edward was shown in the movie. I really do love the Twilight Saga and it's going to be so great seeing the next couple of movies. I will be buying them all on dvd. You know who else i adore is Jasper!!! He's great too :-)

Well, if anything the ending of the movie reminded me of just how annoying and wishy washy Bella turns out to be in Eclipse the book, which i'm sure she'll be just as annoying in the next film. That said, i really loved New Moon the movie, it went by way too fast and i totally want to watch it again. Sigh. I also heard it's coming out in june so that will be nice for the summer. And i am absolutely Team Edward. I don't like the Jacob. What about you? :)

I think you'll enjoy Angels and Demons if you liked the Davinci code. I don't always intend to, but I usually end up reading the books first before seeing the movie. Sometimes it makes me disappointed in how the movie turned out simply because I liked the book so much better. Does that happen to you?

I don't mind romance, but I generally like mystery and action a bit better. Probably why my own book only had the hintings of possible future romance.

Hi, I liked Angel and Demons a bit better than the Davinci Code so I bet you'll enjoy it. Have you seen the movies? What does Lori Foster and Jennifer Cruise write?

Hi to another Charlaine Harris fan. How did you like Dead and Gone? I saw you read Erin McCarthy. Would you recommend her?

Thanks! It is frustrating at times trying to balance everything. Plus, I miss reading books I enjoy, but I just keep thinking in about 3 years I can read all I want.

I really do want her to be with Bill, yes he was a total turd but as far as i'm concerned he's redeemed himself and he's already grovelled and yes there's the whole undying love thing that i just can't see Eric saying to her. Eric is a total hottie, don't get me wrong, but there's just something about Vampire Bill that gets me. Do you remember that scene when they were in the ballroom and all hell broke loose (she was with Quinn tiger at the time, YICK) anyhoo, it got to me when Bill defended Sookie from the evil asian chic and he cut her head off with that sword....so yeah Eric hasn't done much for her other than have great sex which is totally perfect yes, but love conquers all. I'm such a hallmark card LOL!

And i hate it that an entire year has to pass before we know what happens next. Whatever does happen will be amazing and i hope she picks Bill or he picks her. Whatever. On True Blood tv show i don't mind her being with Eric at all, best of both worlds LOL

Hi! I see we've both read 'The boy in the striped pyjamas'. Want a fabulous book, one of the best I've ever read. Even though you know what's going to happen, you're desperate that something will come along to change it all...very gripping and very, very moving. If you like anything to do with love and loss, check out my latest book on my shelf. Cold Hell in Darley Dene might be right up your street!
Anyway, hope we can be friends.
