Profound! A good read! Astonishing insights! Yeah, well, what can one say? - it's a computer book - but a well written one with lots of good insight and help.

Feeling spiritually out of sinc? Perhaps you're neglecting the natural rhythms of God built into the fabric of your being? Christine's book is an excellent reminder that life is not about go, go, go, but about the relational dance of work and rest, action and celebration, worship and contemplation. Her more recent edition, Godspace (which I couldn't locate on Shelfari) adds more insight and examples of regaining Gods-Pace by discovering God Space in our busy lives.

  • The Jesus Creed: Loving God, Loving Others
    • Rated 5 stars

Scot McKnight challenges us to look again at the simple, but very challenging call of Jesus: Love God and love others. In a world where Christians seem as caught up as everyone else in retribution, war, and the demonization of others, McKnight rightly points out that All People are created in the image of God, All People are redeemable, and Jesus' call to love God cannot be satisfied if we fail to love those created in God's image.

  • No Future Without Forgiveness

This powerful book not only provides a history of the tumultuous times of transition in South Africa but also a clear understanding of why forgiveness is essential in all areas of our lives. In many ways, SA provides the world an option to human forms of "justice" that replace one repressive regime with another.

This is an interesting and challenging book that digs below the surface of blind acceptance of technology in order to uncover the assumptions and impact of technology on our lives. I appreciate his balanced approach to the subject and the many examples of how tech can both help and hinder our relationships with others.
