I'm a recent graduate of Western Michigan University. I completed a degree in English Education and I'm currently looking for a full-time job. While I haven't decided what I will focus on in my Master's program, I am very interested in rhetoric composition, as well as a variety of literary studies. No matter the field, I know it will center around researching better methods for encouraging literacy in students. Although my experience in the classroom is still very limited, I absolutely love working with students and I look forward to every chance I get to work in the classroom.

Besides reading, I also enjoy creative writing, music and philosophy. One of my goals in life is to at least write a novel, even if it's never published. I'm an active musician, currently participating in Their Teeth Will Be of Lions.. Finally, in whatever spare time I have, I enjoy reading books and watching documentaries related to philosophy. I'm especially interested in Super-String theory and Existentialism. Issues of dream consciousness and cognitive dissonance are quite appealing as well. « less
