Really skimmed and skipped.. Not really good since I'm not that keen on religion.

Now I know why airlines, golf clubs, phone carriers and hair salons price their services and work the way they do... Among tons of other stuff. This book is pretty damn good.

Great launchpad to other works. This got me interested in "Games People Play", from Berne on Transactional Analysis in psychology. While searching for that I found the DVD set of "Games People Play" from a professor - about Game Theory and mathematics. Nice time-saver. From here I picked up at least four more titles I'm intending to read.

Excellent work, however extremely abstract. It helps balance practical knowledge with scientific understanding of how the mind's lingua franca expresses itself. Still, do not enter without a dictionary or a 50,000 word vocabulary - words such as milleu, juxtapose, recapitulate, and abjure are all here, used properly mind you, but not exactly 12-grade level language.

The funniest quote from that book: "Time is nature's way to keep everything from happening at once, and space is nature's way to keep everything from happening to me".

Pretty good, informative and approachable. However, somewhat abstract and of limited practical use outside of academia or scientific curiosity. I constantly try to bring whatever I read into practical use in my daily life and work, from family life to social life, organizational behavior and marketing. Could make very few connections with this title. Still pretty good!

I keep this one on my iPhone - I've probably listened to it a dozen times already and it doesn't get old. Love this book. Its about the power of intuitive rapid cognition - I see it from two angles: First, how I can improve my own automatic process and bubble up that rapid cognition instead of suppressing it. Secondly, I look at how I can use/leverage this process when I'm marketing something.
