Mother of three, wife of one - which means I'm a chef, taxi driver, maid, nurse, teacher, counselor, singer, storyteller and friend. If I get one real meal and a shower - that is a really good day. If I make it through the day without a meltdown and having accomplished one thing on my to-do list, that was a good day. If I wake up and keep the kids fed, clothed and entertained, that was a day. I also like to read when I have a spare moment at midnight, but I often have to read most paragraphs over because no more neurons are firing in my brain by then which forces me stay up until 2 am and less rested for the next day where fewer neurons will be firing. It's a downhill battle. By the time all my children are grown and I really do have time to read, I will have to buy some neurons on the internet - they should have them available by then I think. In a different lifetime I was a good ballerina and I could play the piano. I used to have a great vocabulary and could think quickly on my well-arched callous-infested feet. After deliberately growing three fetuses in my body, I accidentally pushed out my intelligence along with the perfectly darling babies who are growing up to be not-so-perfect since they're actually able to talk and disagree with me now - nobody told me that was going to happen, but now I love them too much to return them. I never finished my English Lit degree, but my children are enthralled when I read to them so I managed to resurrect my self-esteem in that area - 1 down and 899 to go. I love my life...sans neurons, a degree, a perky chest and all. « less
