I am an avid book reader from way back. In my middle school and the first few high school years, I had dreams of becoming a writer. I wrote tons of stories, but amazingly, nobody ever came to my school to track me down and publish them. Oh, well. Their loss, I'm sure.
Anyway, now I work as an admin. assistant in a law firm in Virginia, and am continuing in school, always working toward that lofty goal of financial security. I'm positive it's attainable... It is, right? Right?!
I am divorced with one wonderful son. In my spare time I volunteer for animal shelters in the area and I also transport dogs. I am a longtime vegetarian and just recently decided to go whole hog (pun intended) and become vegan.
Recently, a friend at work introduced me to Shelfari and now I'm hooked. While discussing the types of books we like, she suggested we start a group here.
