I m a teacher in the Boston Public Schools. I teach English Language Learners and have taught children with learning disabilities, too. I read a lot as a child and majored in English as an undergraduate. My mentors have been Mary Landrigan and Joseph Tribble. I listen to audiobooks frequently--on my commute to and from school. I seem to be a strong listener, so great narrators have helped me to access books that were hard for me to get to, get through. Among the most memorable of these are Moby Dick, Proust, and Faulkner. George Guidall is a favorite narrator. « less
