In regards to the romance group...the posts are getting a bit out of hand.
People are posting completely off topic. Just now I saw several posts labeled "RANDOM"
which have nothing to do with group.

I think everyone joins the different groups to be able to discuss a specific type of genre or author
and not find posts similar to those in the teen anything goes groups.

Thought you should know and hope you can have a word.

Hi - I don't know if this is the protocol or not, but because of your being an admin here, I'll try.

I just put up a new discussion and the "replies" checkmark wasn't highlighted, so it wouldn't "take". The one at the beginning of the discussion was on, so I guess that will take care of it, but it's not the first time that happened to me. Is that a wierd occurence, a snag, something a more knowledgable person can fix?

    Thanks for listening, anyway....

Hi Melanie, I just took a look at your books. Great shelf!!! I see you've read Diana Gabaldon books. I have them, but the size is so intimidating I haven't started them yet. LOL

Hi there, thanks so much for the add. It's great to make new friends. Looks like we have some common interests(and we both have teenagers...argh). I haven't had much time for reading lately. I'm actually looking forward to being snowed in this winter. Can't wait to check out your shelf!

All of Sandra Worth's Rose of York books are now on Storycasting (www.storycasting.com), and Sandra told me she's going to collaborate over Thanksgiving weekend to "cast" some of them. Who do YOU see in the movie roles? Come join the fun!

working on challenge - possibly down the road - right now now I've got as much as I can handle...

The dog is a friends, but she and I love one another...Princess is her name and she is actually a German Shepherd....I have four full time dogs in my life - three are rescue - 2 Beagles, Husky-GS mix, and the baby [over 70 pounds] - Dalmation. Would have cats but this crew is not receptive to that idea.

I don't think Princess is any where near the weight that your Gizmo is. But Rottweiler's are BIG...there are a couple in my neighborhood - it is great that they are good dogs as most people tend to be afraid of them...like Pit Bulls...have a friend with one of those and Gorgeous is her name and she is a 'pussycat', too....P

Can you tell me how to place a book/books on the group shelves in Readers of Romance? I browsed through and then tried and couldn't do it as I thought I could. Maybe it's not too important, but I like knowing how.

Oh - I was just browsing through your shelf (saw a few books we have in common) and noticed you've read Alexandra Ripley's "Scarlet". Did you love it?? I read it quite a few years ago, when I first started getting books at a flea market booth here in FL. Then the lady owner suggested I might like Ripley's other books, which are Southern stories, set in Charleston, S.C. They're great, and Ripley has her own style, which is enjoyable. I think when she wrote Scarlett she was writing in Margaret Mitchell's style - and it worked. I just bought a book called Rhett Butler's People, by a man - a newly published book. It too, was interesting - a look from the other side, so to speak.

Welcome to the Worth the Read group. Sorry it has taken so long to get you a welcome note, but for some reason it just showed up on my listing tonight even though it says you joined 10 days ago-anyway sorry for the delay. Feel free to jump right into a discussion or begin a new one.
