Reading is like drinking water for me. The thirst never ends. One book finished and the next is in line. Sometimes I read five or six of them at one time.
At most times, books happen to me - they have fallen on me from shelves, covers have appeared in my dreams, some stranger has recommended me one at the local book shop or even bizarrely sometimes I have found myself attracted to crazy titles while cruising alongside a street vendors collection.
I am known to spend money on books, as other women might in shopping. All in all I am a certified lunatic as far as anything that is paper with printed words bound together in any way.
The only lacuna that exists within this site is that it does not cater to regional literature, which is so rich and diverse in itself. It would have been so useful to have a space here to exchange books in other languages too. Maybe some day, I would see a "Gotya", "Gora" or a "Shyamchi Aai" in these very pages. I wait for that day. :-)
