What a powerful book! It is amazing to me how much strength can be inside such a young body. This book, to me, is about just that - strength and courage to allow the spirit to prevail over the evils of the world.

This book is alright. By the end, I was glad I'd read it, but it is definitely not my favorite Picoult. I don't think it rivals Salem Falls or The Tenth Circle at all. Mercy was a little too predictable, even a little too boring. I will continue reading Picoult, though, in hopes that she has plenty better to offer in her other books.

Miller's book is an in-depth, captivating exploration of how one can find God in the material world. In short, it is a clear account of how evolution through natural selection is evidence of God at work on our planet. Miller also gives a very clear explanation and analysis of evolution and natural selection, as well as the major arguments on both the anti- and pro-evolution sides of the evolution debate. Definitely worth the read.

This book was okay. It's a very fast read. I really enjoyed it until the end, which was a little too abrupt and sappy for my taste. Overall, though, it was a great debut effort.

Very odd little book. Worth reading just for the experience.
