“I have mixed feelings about the book. I think it was clear that Sherrilyn Kenyon clearly wanted to tell Nick's story - and as an integral part of the Dark-Hunter series, he deserves it. I'm a little surprised she opted to do it in a juvenile book. The storyline seemed a little convoluted to me... like she was trying to explain Nick's past & future at the same time, which was hard enough to follow even having read all 25 books in the Dark-Hunter series. I can't imagine trying to make sense of it if you've never read any. I kinda feel like the author watched a good zombie movie and said "hey... lets do that" and crammed in Nick's life around it. Personally, I think she should stick to the adult books she's so good at!”
