I like to write about the dusty back roads and murky bayous of the South. About unsolved murders and the kind of dark, simmering secrets that destroy souls. My books have been described as creepy and disturbing. Stories to be read with the lights on.

Thank you for taking the time to discuss The Dollmaker with us in the Suspense & Thrillers group. I've wanted to read your book since last summer, but always had group read that I never got around to reading. The past month I haven't had much time for reading so I finally finished The Dollmaker, but it was a good book. I enjoyed being able to answer your questions (finally) in the group. Thanks again!

Hi Amanda, I just finished The Dollmaker and thought it was great. I am really excited about your next book though. Ever since I read the 60s book This Baffling World by John Godwin years ago, I have been intrigued by the Devonshire footprints. I always told myself that if no one writes a book about them I would be forced to --now I guess I don't have to - I'm sure it will be great!

Dear Amanda: Your books sound terrific. I am having my first novel published this week. I suppose you know all the feelings that that entails. I am so busy with promoting that I have little time to actually enjoy the process. But I wanted to let you know about the book, in case you have time to read. (I don't) The book is called HUNTING THE KING. Here are the details:
HUNTING THE KING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likeable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Molly is an in-your-face woman with a mysterious past who is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

While the book isn't available until April, you can find it on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kunati Books and other googleable sites.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heartpounding trailer for the book at http://www.kunati.books/hunting-the-king-peter-clenott/. Or you can view it on YouTube or my web site at www.peterclenott.com. Let me know what you think. More important, if you have any tips on promotion, please let me know. Thanks.
