    Hey,
    How was Siddartha?
I love Hesse! Have you read other books by him?
I haven't read Siddartha but I have read Demian and The Steppenwolf and I love them both...

What I like about the book is not so much its theme as the way it's presented. The character of Humbert Humbert with all its complexity; the way events are described and evoked and the way language is so beautifully used throughout the book. Note that Nabokov is a Russian writer writing in English and yet he manipulates the language so comfortably as if it were his own. As you will soon read in Cloud Atlas: "art is not the what, it's the how". :D

I see you're planning to read "Lolita" and "Cloud Atlas". Awesome!!
Here's a little warning just in case: "Lolita" has explicit sexual themes.
I know you probably don't mind; I'm telling you this to clear my conscience since I'm the one who recommended it in the first place :D

    Hahahaha...
Yes I was probably talking about "The Joy of Pi". Anyway, I guess it turned out for the best :D

    Hello,
It's so strange, but I don't remember recommending Life of Pi to you ???
I'm glad you enjoyed it, though.
To be honest, I don't remember too much about it, I do remember that there were two stories about how he survived in the end, but I don't remember the other one (i.e. the one different from that he was telling) so I really don't know what to choose... :)

Wow! You read "The Bell Jar"?
You should read Sylvia Plath's poetry then. A lot of it relates to the events in "The Bell Jar".
