The Perks of Being a Wallflower

“I read this for the first time in high school, sophomore year. This time around, it resonated with me so much more. I understood it better, related better. It was over-all a better reading experience. If you read it in high school, you should read it again as an adult.”

The Phantom Tollbooth

“One of my favorite books of all time. I first picked it up as a child (I found it at my grandparents' house) and fell in love with the fantasy of the story. I read it again as an adult and really understood the story. This time, I got all of the puns and plays on words and the story really came alive. I was just as swept up in it all as I was when I was little.”

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

“One of my favorites out of the Harry Potter novels. This is when the truth about Dumbledore starts to come out. I find his character fascinating. Harry is a little whiny in this one but he's a teenage boy; that's expected. Snape begins his slow downward spiral in this one. JK Rowling's prose is witty and moving as always.”
