Hi there! I just finished The Other Queen and it was good, not great. That crazy Mary, she got on my nerves...If you haven't read The Other Boleyn Girl by Gregory, I'd recommend that one first. I think it is her best and was my favorite. Reading anything good???

Ha ha. Thanks about the quote. Wow, after reading your bio it seems our books are not nearly the only things we have in common. I'm working on a novel, writing short stories as well, and I also keep an Excel document that logs my titles, authors, genres, pages, date began, and date completed. So far this year I have read 22 books at 7502 pages. I only began keeping track in May. It seems great minds think, do, and read alike!

YUP... Going to buy Breaking Dawn tomorrow. ALL of Laurie Notaro's books ARE AWESOME.... She is by far the FUNNIEST author I have EVER read. I am also buying her latest book too tomorrow. I LOVE HER!! I've read 3 of her books in a row I have two more lined up then I'm reading Breaking Dawn.... Bella had better become a vampire or I'm gonna be P'ed off!

I've read all of Jane Green's books and, generally, I really enjoy them. So far, this one is pretty good. I'll probably be finished by tomorrow evening. I am on a reading kick. What are you reading now?

Have you read The Ground Beneath Her Feet? The title is intriguing. What is the book about? Would you recommend it?

I read Khaled Hosseini's 'The Kite Runner.' I liked it a lot. Still to read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns.' I'm now catching up with an old Stephen King book, 'Hearts in Atlantis.'

    Hello,
I see you have The Host on your shelf. I almost picked that one up until I read the jacket. It sounds like a romance novel.

I'm sorry to hear you are so swamped with work. Ugh! That's not fun to have happen over the summer. I'm so glad you are enjoying The Kite Runner. It won't take you long I'm sure. Something about it just sucks you in.

I finally finished Gone with the Wind. It was excellent, but took me a long time to finish. I'm ready to move onto something new :).

All is well over here, but I always seem too ridiculously busy. I'm training for a half Ironman, and these next three weeks are really intense training wise.

BTW... Behind The Attic Wall.... Was a book I ABSOLUTELY LOVED as a girl. My Mom remembers me talking about it all the time. I have forgotten about it over the yeas and am now in HOT pursuit in looking for a new copy to re-read. I have started a collection of my fave YA books to pass on to my daughter (fingers crossed she will be a reader). I put Twilight in there and have a few others I love stashed away. She will have a nice collection by the time she turns 12. She's only 5 now.... Never too soon???
I read a Sh*t ton of YA and 3rd-4th grade level books. My son is 9 and we are doing our own little book club this summer. I want him to get addicted. I am not as well versed in "boy" books as I am in "girly" books... All new reading for me.

I was worried about reading that one.... I really am not into Sci-Fi.... Is it AS GOOD as Twilight???

I have never really read any vampire books besides Twilight, and I think I read one by Erin McCarthy.... It was really slow and boring.

I have looked ahead to read the "guesses" at to what will happen in the 4th book and was sad to see that Bella is not a vampire yet..... I wanted her to be one by the end of Twilight!!! I guess I have lots of waiting to do. Ugh....

It's so great to hear from you, ange. Glad things are well, but they sounds busy!! Jane Eyre is a great choice for 19th century. I have that one on my book shelf too - - along with a ton of others that fit this month's tag. But I'm so pokey that the chance of me getting beyond Gone with the Wind isn't too high. I am loving Gone with the Wind so far - - just a very fun, easy, and engaging read so far. I'm only on chapter 4 or so though . . .but everyone who has read it seems to love it.

There's just so many books I want to read, and I'm very behind. My goal is 50 books this year, and I'm at about #21 . . .I really should be at 25 by the end of June, no? Not sure that's going to happen!!

At any rate, welcome back :). So great to see you!!

    Howdy,
So I was checking our your shelf and I read your "about you" section (I have no idea what the technical term for that area is). And I must say, I couldn't help but laugh, you're a hoot. :) I am also interested in reading an excerpt from your novel that you are working on. It sounds really interesting and I would love to check it out…
