Hi Paola! How are you? I see that you have enjoyed reading The Tenth Gift, i did too! I have yet to read Jasper Fforde, but i will definitely do that this year.
I have just finished Garden Spells, it has magical realism, romance and some southern charms (US).

Hi Paola, Yes, I did read World Without End! Those are the kind of books where one feels sad to finish. The are the only two books I've read by Ken Follet, but looking forward to reading more! Thanks for becoming my friend.

Hey Paola. I never made it past page 151. It was just so bad that I couldn't bring myself to get through it. I kept it on my shelf thinking that some day I will read it, but I feel that I will have to be really desperate. : / It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that didn't like it. I've heard alot of people say that it was great, but it just wasn't for me. Hope that helped :)

    Hi, Paola!

I hope this finds you well and happy. Doing good out this way even though the weather is cold and dreary. Last week was great so I'm not going to complain at all. The Stieg Larson book you mentioned got real good reviews here. I'm just starting to get to the point where if a book is real boring I'll give up reading on it. I always think if I go one more page there will be such a great twist to the plot that all the previous stuff was worth it - like "The Hobbit". Sent an e-mail earlier to the address you provided - hope you got it.
    Take care!

Hi Paola! Glad to read that you had a great holiday. Here the weather is turning colder and they are forecasting snow showers for tomorrow night. Perfect weather for reading mysteries! It took me a while to read "Bag of Bones" and when I was done I couldn't decide if I liked it or not. I spent a lot of time thinking about it and then it occurred to me that that is a sign of a good book - one that resonants with the reader long after it has been read. I just finished reading the first in the Reigning Cats and Dogs mystery series. It was okay for a first book. Hope the next one is better.
    Take care!

    Hi Paola,
Hope your holiday was great! I see that you read Kathy Reichs novels. I'm on a waiting list at my local library for the new one, "Devil Bones". Take care.

    Hi Paola,
"The Hobbit" was excellent - a book I actually kept to reread at some future date. I'm not sure I'll read "Memoirs of a Geisha". I don't like sad books or sad movies - sad anything! For something light and a quick read I recommend the first "Aunt Dimity" book - not sure if it's "Aunt Dimity's Death" or "Aunt Dimity and the Duke". I've read the entire series and I absolutely love them. They fall under the category of a cosy mystery. I hope your holiday is absolutely wonderful! Will try your e-mail address soon - ty for it.
    Take care!

    Hi Paola,
You are listed as one of my friends so you obviously did the right thing. Cool! I had the same problem with "The Hobbit" that you are having with "The Dark Tower". I don't know how many times I tried reading it. The funny thing was that I only had to go another couple of pages before I was hooked. I didn't want to put it down! "Memoirs of a Geisha" is a book that I wanted to read - actually forgot about it. I'll have to look it up at the library when I take my current reads back. Take care!

    Hi Paola!
I will not spoil the series for you - just glad that you are able to finally read the fourth one.
It's really hard to say which Stephen King book is my favorite. The one that I can't seem to get out of my head is The Stand. I found it very scary since that is something that could really happen - the epidemic part, that is. It is the one book that my family still talks about now and then. Cujo was too sad, couldn't get into it at all. I liked It - even liked the mini series. Looking forward to reading the Dark Tower series but as I don't have them all yet I'm waiting. I too liked Carrie and Pet Semetary.
Would love to add you as a friend but I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
    Take care!

    Hi Paola,
I would like to recommend Inkheart to you. It's a beautiful book. In the beginning it maybe is a little slow reading, but after a little while the only thing you want is finish the book. It's a real page turner and a must-read.
This book is the first book in a trilogy: Inkheart, Inkspell and the 3th book 'Inkdead' is on the way. Hope you will like it.

    Keep on reading,
    Greetings, Monique
