Excellent. I am so glad you liked it. Now you have to read World without End....the sequel to Pillars! It is also over 1,000 pgs. But OH SO GOOD!
I took it out of the library and then someone had a hold on it.......I had to read it in 2wks......returning it late 2 days. I would love to read both of them again in a couple of years.
I am stuck with Jodi Picoult right now and Nancy Thayer. Some of them are good, some I drag through. Love, Mom

Dear Allie: I'm a novelist from New England. I saw on your bookshelf that you have read several books by Daniel Brown. If you enjoy his stuff, you might like my debut novel HUNTING THE KING. The novel revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. Thanks. Peter

Loved The Mists of Avalon. I want more of her so I took out another book of hers "A Thread of Grace" Will let you know.

Just finished "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by the author of A Kite Runner ..Khaled Hosseini.....What an eye opener. Very Depressing and Sad. I cried a number of times and had to put the book down. But I didn't put it away, I had to finish it and it was wonderful. Not for the faint of heart.

Yeah, I'm reading Persepolis now. Also check out a guy named Adrian Tomine. His short comic stories are so good and so true that it hurts.
