“I was really looking forward to reading this book and it was just plain awful.
I'm the type of person to back a book before a movie any day. They are always better, or so I thought. I had actually seen the movie first and fell in love with it, so I decided to read the book.
True the book and movie are almost completely different stories, but the books story was just so boring. It just dragged on and on and on with no climax. Nothing was exciting, dramatic, or interesting. It took me forever to finish because I kept reading other books from sheer boredom.
I prefer what Helen Hunt did with this story. I will not be reading another one of Lipman's books.”
