Dear Ali Lynn: I would like to suggest a book to you that I think will intrigue you. The title is HUNTING THE KING. I am the author, so I am biased. But your bookshelf would suggest you'd have an interest in HUNTING. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book. If you get the chance, I hope you'll take the time to watch it and let me know your feelings. Thanks. Peter
So, what's up?? Have you ever read any book written be Clare B. Dunkle??I wanted to ask you something-have this ever happened to you-that you read a book and then end up thinking about that book for days and days............???
Wow! Thats cool. My cousin is into animation to. It must be fun!
Oh. I'll try those (I'll get them when I go to the library next time!) Enid Blyton is really old. Actually, enid blyton isn't the authors real name, it's Mrs. Darally or something (I'm positive it starts from D). She used to write books in the 40's, 50's and all. But all her books are cool.........but for children like 9-12. You're 23, do you have a job, or a bussiness or are you studying right now??
I've read (I mean I still read) the Sweet Valley Twins. Those are nice books! The other ones that you mentioned are a little to, um.. big for me. I'm 13. What books did you read when you were my age? Have you ever read Enid Blyton books?
I know that, but if you go to bookstores, it always says 9-12 for the nancy drew books and all. I feel like a baby! But I still love nancy drew and I feel so bored if I don't read one for 2 or 3 days! What are your favorite series?
So, how old are you and what kind of books do you like now??
Hi,Booknerd-thanks for reading my blog and I'm happy to add you on as a friend. Also, you're not the only one who didn't read To Kill A Mockingbird in high school(I was never assigned that book and still haven't read it! Did see the movie, tho).
One Hundred Years of Solitude will probably take you just that - one hundred years to read it. :) It's a long story and the character names are kind of confusing because they remain the same from one generation to another. But, nevertheless, it's an interesting read :)
I'm also a lover of S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders. Like you, I was also an R.L. Stine fan/reader when I was young.
May I suggest Bittersweet Diary by S. Seward. Great story of will and determination demonstrated by a 6 yr old.
It's okay. Nothing spectacular though to be honest. I was expecting more based on what I had read and heard about it. I recommend checking it out at the library as opposed to buying it though.
Impressive bookshelf! Where do u study abroad? I also got started on goosebumps
