I hate non fiction or rather I hate facts. I hate books that have a moral or try to impose a philosophy. I adore fiction. I enjoy the works of Kundera, Murakami and Wilde.

I know what you mean. To be honest, I'd rather read fiction than the other. Right now, am reading Eric Liu's "The Accidental Asian". It's a very revealing confession and I learned a lot from his insight but Wilbur Smith's "The Quest" has been calling my name. But what I really
I'd like to do is to revisit Hesse' "Narcissus and Goldmund". I read it at a time when everything was hazy for me.

Before you hate them non-fictionistas, try reading Daniel Boorstin's "The
Discoverers", "The Creators"and the "The Seekers" and tell what you think of
facts that illuminate... I am partial to fiction myself. I imbibe more life from it. But
just I just want to say that there are other sources of unbearable enjoyment.

you know I have mots of her books, maybe some 5-6 missing, and now I am so confused what I have and what I don't that I am planning to carry a printed list in my wallet so I don't duplicate them :) and you know what I also agree with the non-fiction bit, but try Gerald Durrel - he is so entertaining and his experiances with animal and the nature are really great.Write a note on alienashu's page.
