Think Bridget Jones meets Scooby-Doo. Silly, but fun.

Oh, this book annoyed me to no end! It started off great with interesting characters, a fast moving plot & it quickly degenerated into a wanna-be version of Practical Magic. It never comes close though because the plot produces so many "Huhs?" & so much scratching of the reader's head at its stupid plotline devices & contrivances. I read an interview with the author in amazon where she says this is her first adult book (since she's always written young adult fiction) & that she plots & works on several stories of her many series at once. Well, honey, I'd like to tell her: there's the problem. First, if this is your version of adult, I'd hate to read your YA because there's a BIG lack of anything I love about most YA. You didn't draw me into the story, make me empathize with the characters or their problems & I don't see any applicable life lessons. Second, Ms. Author, your attempts to twist the plot to suit the latest chapter annoyed me so much, I kept chucking the book across the room. (Note to self: check the spine of this library book before returning it. You may need to pay for it.) Shoot, I was so annoyed by the book, I couldn't even escape into its fantasy world.

    Begone, foul spirit!!

A wonderful, fitting ending to a great fantasy series.

I enjoy all of the Agatha Raisin books I've read so far, but I'd luurrvvved this one because of her visits to Turkey's antiquities.

Beautifully told story of an ordinary person & his wishes for a second chance w/ the woman he loves. Manny is the manager of a Red Lobster & the night in the title is the last night the restaurant will be open. As Manny goes through his day, we come to understand him w/ bittersweet empathy. Nothing happens in this story, but such is O'Nan's gift for immersing the reader in setting & characters, I came to feel for Manny & wished for his heart's desires as I swiftly turned the pages. For anyone who's always tried to do the right things in life but realizes sometimes the best isn't enough.

Really more 2 1/2 stars....Liked it better than the last one, but on the whole, I find this series stupid instead of clever, banal instead of witty.

Eve Dallas, police detective extraordinaire, solves another case & marries the man of her dreams. Lovely, escapist fun.
