The Firth. (sighs) Yes, I would like to marry him as well. I can't wait for the Oscars...from what I've read, he is the favorite!! Go Firth!

That was T in the picture. Yes, he tends to look quite regal when he's not dropping turds or making skid marks on my cream carpet! Can he come visit his Auntie Alicia? :) Now I have a picture up of his two sisters. They sleep like this all the time:)

Glad you got your internet back up. We missed you! Yes, I know other people with AT&T and they complain about them a lot. All of them suck in varying degrees...doesn't everything?!

It's cold and rainy...I just want to curl up in bed with three fat cats, a book and some hot chocolate. It's my day off so I can do just that...:)

I did! I did! And whatever you do, don't buy any Agatha Raisin mysteries. I just got the majority of them for a steal at a local used bookshop, & if you are interested, once I've read them, they are all yours. ; )

Oh no! I'm so sorry about your husband's job. That really stinks. Life can be so difficult. What does he do? Of course, this is no answer and it doesn't make your loss and frustrations any easier, but books are a (my) great savior! They are a great comfort and often great escape (for me). And your dogs, too, must be a great joy.
As for Daughter of the Forest, I loved it. It was a great story to get lost in. The second is also wonderful. I am reading the third, presently, and 2/3's through. It is much darker and edgier. It gives me much more anxiety and is like reading a train wreck. I don't want to read the "bad stuff", but I can't stop. In fact, I already read the end, just to appease my anxiety. I know, that sounds terrible. I just couldn't bear to read on, knowing the ending was futile.
I hope that better things lie ahead for you and your husband!
Also, let me know when you are ready for the third book, by then I will probably have read the following as well.

Hi! Yes, I’m much better, thanks. Finally! I don’t ever want to get that cold/sinus/whatever-the-hell-it was again.

Yes to The Firth!! He won the Golden Globe, didn’t he? I hope that is a good sign. I actually may have to watch the Oscars. I usually skip them. I get bored with it – too long and full of unnecessary crap. For The Firth, however, I can endure 17 hours of the Oscars.

You know, I put The Ranger’s Apprentice on my shelf long ago with the intention of buying but never did. I’m really interested in The Castings Trilogy. Have you heard of it? http://www.amazon.com/Castings-Trilogy-Pamela-Freeman/dp/0316102857/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296316532&sr=8-1

Oh, that’s good news…good luck to hubby! Yes, that sounds like a nice job to me:) I love me a man in uniform…*sighs* Don’t worry, someone out there wants you…you two just haven’t crossed paths yet! *hugs*

Well…I was conquered by crochet…apparently due to a lack of coordination but I found a set of looms at Walmart that are awesome. They are called Knifty Knitters…I’ve made two hats, a shawl and a neck pillow. I’m working on a throw now. So, I’m basically cheating at my craftwork…! LOL I almost bought that book but decided against it after reading the reviews…not really my thing.

I’m reading Definitely Dead. I just finished The Poisonwood Bible…I’ll be the party pooper on it…I really didn’t like it. But I’m loving the Sookie. I started renting True Blood...oh my. It's, um, interesting...I like the guy playing Sam and I think they got a good Bill but it goes so wrong in so many places...I had only seen a few bits of an episode here and there but seeing them all the way through is an eye-opener...lol

Hey! I'm almost fine. I'll write a PN tomorrow to let you know what's going on. Some health issues, but nothing drastic or terrible, just enough to put me off my feed. Hope all is well.

I finished the Hunger Games and oh my I was surprised!!!!! I am happy that Peeta came around, it really bothered me that he went postal. I am going to Costa Rica, have you been before? I am taking a chance with some adventure with an old friend from college. We completed a marathon together in Dec 10 and decided next year we want to sip drinks in a hot spring after a zip tour! Have a great week

it's my pleasure. I am so sorry for the delay, I am working on updating my website--slow going for me. Also, the weather has been most depressing up here, though it sounds as though it has been cold and snowy down by you as well. What an odd and eery winter, eh?
I am so glad that you enjoyed Mockingjay. I did too. She (Collins) did not sell out. I thought there was nothing predictable and I believed every last word. I was sad that Prim died, though I suppose it was the point of all three books. Even though Katniss entered the Hunger Games, her sister could not be spared. It really did come full circle, right? I can't wait for another book by her!
By the way, I hope that you enjoy Daughter of the Forest, and Son of the Shadows. I loved them. I am reading the third in the trilogy now--Child of the Prophecy. Let me know what you think. Her writing is reminiscent of Robin McKinley.
I hope the weather is improving in N.C.
    Best,
    Beth

That's funny...I always have nosebleeds in my right nostril...have for years. I have to use saline nasal spray to keep it from drying out too much...when I remember to do that, it works. Mostly I forget and well, a red river runs from it and all over everything. My pillow looked like evidence you'd see on CSI. I didn't bother to try to save it. I bagged it and tossed it. I know...I can't even count the number of boxes of tissues I've gone through since Christmas...

    Hmmm....hot toddies...keep 'em coming...:)

It was weird about that weather system...when they showed the radar, all the snow/ice was skirting most of the state...the Weather Channel even said VA would get the least amount of snow...that we did. Just a little bit...and boy was I glad...I'm so over it.

Wow, TX or OK...can your sensitive nostril handle it?! I guess sometimes you have to go where the jobs are but TX/OK...not my first choice...but there are some hot cowboys in TX...;)

Okay, kick a*s and fast are good...I think Hobb is too freaking slow...I get bored with her books after awhile. Maybe I'll move Weeks up a few notches. I had to put Poisonwood aside. Definitely not night reading...zzzzzzzz....:)

It's never going anyway, is it? I've been sniffling and sneezing for what seems like weeks and weeks. Lately, I've been clearing my throat constantly. Oh, my new thing...I wake up in the middle of the night with a runny nose and grab a bunch of tissues without turning on the light...come to find out when my alarm goes off in the morning, it wasn't a runny nose, it was a bloody nose. Ruined one of my pillows the other night. It seems to aggravating my sinuses (and me) big time. Make it go away! (pouts)

Hey, check out Dollar General for the other C.S. Harris books. There was one at mine today...I think it was called The Archangel Project. I only had a little bit of cash on hand so I didn't pick it up. Sounds like some sort of government conspiracy stuff which really isn't my taste so I didn't feel bad leaving the store without it.

I've looked at Weeks' Assassin books before but haven't picked them up. SFBC has the whole trilogy packaged in one volume but it sounds so much like Hobbs' Assassin books that I skipped it. One of these days I may read them. I'm trying to read The Poisonwood Bible now. Not a fast read. Very interesting but reading it in bed at night may not be the best way to go...I get about 10 pages read and then wake up about 3 hours later...!

How's the job search going? Taking more credits...yikes...I would never step foot in college again...I was so glad when I graduated because I was so sick of school...I'm very good at being a student but I would never do it again...except maybe online...but only if I absolutely had to...

We got lucky with the last batch of bad weather...some minor "winter mix" was about all we got. I think we're supposed to get almost to 60 degrees at some point this week...crazy weather.

Off to the dungeon for some b*tching...

Hi! Yes, I'm feeling better though I have some lingering coughing and runny nose junk...where does all that snot come from, really. Is your junk all gone now?

I just got the White Flower Farm catalog in the mail about two days ago. They could sell it as art...the pictures are so beautiful. I've seen a lot of stuff in there that I'd like to buy...especially the Weeping Japanese Maple. Gorgeous! Hmm, gee, would rob like it...er, no!

LOL about writing 2011 on checks...I had to pay bills today and tried to be very careful. I hope I got them all dated correctly...guess they'll be sent back if I didn't! Oh well...

March will be here before we know it...though I will be waiting impatiently for the next Sebastian. I do like Sebastian and Hero together so I don't mind them getting more serious. Aren't her contemporary books written with her husband? I thought I read that somewhere. I'll have to check them out.

Whatcha reading now? I'm currently perusing my tbr pile for my next read...can't decide...;)

It's okay, Alicia! You've had a lot more things on your mind than my book, and I'm not really missing it too badly at the moment. ;-)

I'm not doing 100% raw anymore, so if you would like to send pumpkin bread (which I friggin LOVE) you can.. but if you are too stressed to do any baking, please don't worry about it! I mean that! I know, it's a southern thing, making sure we all get goodies.. ;) Just don't stress yourself over it! The book will keep :)
