    I guess I owe you a Happy Turkey Day, a Merry Christmas and soon a Happy New Year! I just got so busy with work and other things...been doing some clearing and cleaning...lots of trip to Goodwill. Found out some old "stuff" from college...along with some great pictures! LOL. If I'm brave, I may put one up as my avatar...briefly...;)

    Poor Isabelle! I can see Sable snickering! Gee, I know a little something about animals and costumes...I got scratched real good when trying to put the new Santa hat and antlers I bought on my cats. It warranted a band-aid. Evil things.

    I was overwhelmed when I went to the dungeon...I have no idea where to start!

    Graceling was very good. I finished it this morning. I think you'll like it. *purple dust floats around Alicia* I have heard of Brent Weeks but haven't read him yet. They have his stuff at the Scifi BC. I just bought a load of books from them and the Quality PB BC...buy one, get one free! They really had to twist my arm to buy something...;)

    (falls over) I am so glad your head's attached to you so you dont have to worry about it, you'd have left it at the post office otherwise, or maybe that's what's in the box that's coming and not the book? hmm...(eyes her mailbox w/ interest...)

    (eyes you w/ absolutely no trust whatsoever and keeps her hazmat suit on, wondering if they come in other colors...)

    (sighs dreamily fogging up her suit mask) I'm always in a Roarke mood, but Eve can be annoying if you read too many in a row, so take a break here and there...maybe we can dig into some Mieville in the new year...

    (blinks innocently) me? 'snicker'? I dont even know what that means...(hefts up her dictionary to look up this strange and unfamiliar word...)

    (falls over) old heifer? Sheesh, you really should give me warning for lines like that. I mean, now I've got tea all over the place. See, I really enjoy the word, have been known to use it as a term of endearment, even when most of the world looks askance. And here you are using it like I do. I knew there were oodles of reasons to love you! (grins) I will have to check out your FB wall... and then maybe get hubby to help me upload something beyond that postage stamp of my punim. What are you baking these days? I need to drool a little. : }

    boy, you're a mess, arent you?

    (clicks tongue sympathetically and decides to sleep in her suit and buy one for sus before alicia and sweet, The Diseased Ones, contaminate her, too, and I'll have to move out of the Dungeon to save myself...then ditches the pitiful weeny can of Lysol and buys an economy-sized bottle of carbolic acid...)

    oh, Mieville...we decided to read Iron Council together, that's the one I got sitting in the Pile, but you have to read The Scar first, that's book two of his nebulous trilogy...IC is book three...

    (mimes patting you on the head from a distance of ten feet) there, there,..have some whisky and a Devil Dog, the whisky will clear you long enough for you to taste one for 2 seconds...(rolls the whisky bottle towards you, then impales a Devil Dog on the tip of her sword...)

    Hi again. Things are going well here. The new place is good, and we are pretty much settled in. I'm going to start decorating for Christmas next week :-)

    The best book I've read lately is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's YA, and I think you would probably love it. It's the first in a series (only two books are out so far). I've also started reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. I'm just about finished book 3, and love the series. I know it does slow down somewhat in the later books. I've not yet read An Echo in the Bone, mainly because I've not yet read A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Maybe I'll tackle them in the winter....which isn't that far away here :-( I've not read the Sookie Stackhouse books cause I'm not really into Vampires, but my hubbie loves True Blood - do you watch it? Speaking of Vampires, will you be seeing New Moon? I will, even though I didn't like the book. But since I loved the Twilight movie I figure I should go see New Moon, plus the previews look really good.

    Do you have any Thanksgiving plans?

    I am sure. I am so excited that you are going to read these books and I can't wait to discuss them with you! I will be going to Boston for Thanksgiving, so I will be sending them the following Monday. I will send a note just to let you know. I will send a surprise (book) as well.
    Cheers!
