  • Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible: Flawed Women Loved by a Flawless God
    • Rated 5 stars

All of Liz's "Bad Girl" books have been great. She really has a way of digging deeper into characters and her research is very well done. You can tell she knows what she is talking about and has done the work to really know her topic. I've heard her speak and she is just wonderful!

  • Paying the Price
    • Rated 5 stars

Read this book! It's been a very long time since I read a book in two days - yes, shirking many other duties! Once I picked it up, I practically read right through it. And once my butt hurt from sitting in the same position too long and I had to get up and do something else, as soon as I came back in the room, I picked it right up again. Phenomenal story (as a Realtor myself, I may be a bit biased, and related A LOT to Laura's feelings about her career) and great characters. I loved the writing style and the way Madge kept me turning pages and not even noticing how far I'd gotten. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next! My only caveat was the use of "f" words.

  • Bad Girls of the Bible and What We Can Learn from Them
    • Rated 5 stars

I absolutely loved Liz in person and her books are great too. She starts each chapter with a "now" scenario and then digs into the Bible story of the "bad girl". A fresh look at Biblical women (and their men) who don't get a lot of attention, but have a lot to teach us.

  • Sell Your Home in Any Market: 50 Surprisingly Simple Strategies for Getting Top Dollar Fast
    • Rated 5 stars

A clear and simple approach to marketing property. Topics include "Curb Appeal: 10 Ways to Make a First Impression", "Anticipate Questions: 10 Things Every Buyer Will Want to Know", and "Stagnation: What to do When Nothing Happens"! The book's subtitle is "50 Surprisingly Simple Strategies for Getting Top Dollar Fast" but there are actually 58 steps. Some are quite simple, that we agents do all the time, but I learned some new things and got some great ideas from this book.

  • The No Lawsuit Guide to Real Estate Transactions
    • Rated 5 stars

Every single real estate agent needs to read this book! It seems some of the suggestions are extreme, but you need to protect yourself and your business. If you're considering selling your property, it's for you also! It covers a wide range of topics on staying out of court due to real estate transfers, and protecting yourself if you do end up in a lawsuit. Document everything properly, and learn to advise your clients well. My favorite quote: "Experience is the worst teacher. It presents the test before it presents the material."

  • Women Don't Ask: Negotiation and the Gender Divide
    • Rated 5 stars

This book is very well researched and the research presented is fascinating. Men should read this book too, especially the final chapter! In my business where negotiations are frequent, it helped me learn much to improve how I represent my clients and work with other agents, and also how things can work in my favor in every day life as well.

  • Approval Addiction: Overcoming Your Need to Please Everyone
    • Rated 4 stars

This book has a lot of great lessons in it for me. You only need to please God, and let him take care of everything else is the bottom line. Read the book though, whether you crave others' approval or know someone who does. There is plenty of good content in this most helpful book.
