I'm a book lover. I particularly love thriller, and mysteries. Occassionally, I would read a chick-lit. I read lots of non fiction, too. I guess this is the best place to meet other readers and authors out there.

I like to get other's opinion before I read a book. There are a number of exception depending on authors. I look forward... more »

I need to update my shelf, gonna work on it. Have read this year: Don Chaon-Await Your Reply, T. J. Parker-The Renegades, Tim Maleeny-Jump, Brent Ghelfi-The Venona Cable, and Daniel Woodrell-Winter's Bone. Recommend them all. The TJ Parker is the second book in the Charlie Hood series. LA Outlaws was excellent as well. Ghelfi's book is number three of the series, all fine reads. Maleeny's is a standalone but his Cape Weathers series is great, much action and humor.

Thanks for the friend request, if you start reading the Charlie Parker series by John Connolly, THE KIILING KIND is the first book, a great stand alone novel is BAD MEN, last I heard they have started making this one into a movie.

I'm online quite a bit so drop me line, always open to suggestions.

Which do you like better, Joseph Finder or Ann Rule? If you had to make a choice.

    Thanks

Hi. "From Panic to Power" and "the Highly Sensitive Person" are both good nonfiction books. Good, so far. I'm still reading them. With nonfiction, I tend to read slower. Plus, I'm reading a lot of different books at the same time.

thought I would pass on a suggestion, have you ever read anything by John Connolly ? if not you might try THE KILLING KIND.

The Scarecrow by Connelly Is well worth reading. It is fast paced but has rich character development. Up to date technology paired with a investigative reporter makes for a good read.
