"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."

Cute book. Fun chick-lit that will appeal to Austen fans. Much better than many other "modern but Austen-inspired" books I have read. I'm looking forward to the movie that was just announced!

Confession: I stayed up until almost 3 AM to finish this book. I NEVER let myself do that anymore but I couldn't put this book down!! I loved it. I was hooked on the first page and when I turned the last page I was totally ready to start at the beginning again. Although Divergent is unique in its world, characters, and plot, it is fair to compare this book to The Hunger Games trilogy. It is similarly violent and has dystopian ideas.

Well done Veronica Roth! (Can you believe she is only 22 and this is her first book?) Definitely recommended! I can't wait for the next book: Insurgence!

I continue to be amazed by Brandon Sanderson! His talent for creating completely new worlds is unmatched. He comes up with stuff that I would never even dream of. I loved Mistborn, Elantris, and now Warbreaker. I am always sucked in and have a hard time getting my eyes out of the book and my brain out of the world. This one kept me wondering and guessing even until the very last page. I love that he left this story open for the possibility of other books to follow. Another fantastic read!

Fun companion to the Twilight series. Kind of dull to read straight through, but fun to browse. Lots and lots of new info, pictures, back stories, etc. Would probably be enjoyed most by a Twilight enthusiast rather than a casual fan or reader.

Very funny, although it lost a star for language. I will probably loan this book out to my new mom friends. Definitely worth reading for new moms who need to laugh through the difficult first months. :)

Wow. Just wow. What an epic book and a fantastic follow up to The Name of the Wind. These books are like building a house... NOTW built the foundation of Kvothe's story, The Wise Man's Fear built the house, and I expect the house will come crashing down in the last book.

I loved reading Kvothe's story and seeing just where the heroic tales really came from. He really lives up to his "reputation!" I also love that the present day happenings at the Waystone Inn are mysterious and exciting.

While I did get a little bogged down here and there in the middle of the book, this was an amazing piece of story telling. Even with nearly 1000 pages, I was ready to read it all over again after I finished the last page.

I think this book has some really fantastic information in it. However, it isn't very light reading. There are a lot of words and a lot of long paragraphs. That isn't a bad thing, but I have a hard time sitting down and devoting the time required to read through all of it. Maybe I just need a book that is more to-the-point, with bullet points or something. Either way, I would recommend this book for parents who need a complete guide to raising and caring for a baby. I would not recommend it for parents who just want a quick reference guide.

A boring book about boring characters. It's rare that I don't finish a book... usually I force myself to finish it even when I don't want to, just in case it gets better. Well, I completely gave up on this one. Maybe it did get better in the end, but I couldn't make myself stick around to find out.

How has this book remained relatively unknown in popular society?! I absolutely loved it! I loved the way the mystery unfolded from different characters' points of view. Even though it is "classic" literature, it reads easily and doesn't have difficult language or structure. This isn't a quick read, but it never got boring. Highly recommended!!
