"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."

Good to know. I thought my friend had said she had read more than one of them and was really liking them. Sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks, that helped. I hadn't looked under the "More" tab. I was looking at The Alchemist and it said that 2 of the people I'm following have read it. So perhaps none of those people wrote reviews about it. Oh well. I have a friend here who is really excited about it and wants me to read it, so I thought I would check to see what you guys had said about it.

Shelfari hurts my feelings when it tells me that I am behind pace. :(

What's an easy way to look at a friend's review of a book. I click on the book and then on "Friends reviews" with "Friends First" in the order but I can't find the reviews I want. Ugh!

I am glad you added "When the Wind Blows". It led me to read the spin off on the "bird kids", and I really can see you liking those, even if they are silly and light.

It is 1:30 in the morning, and I just had to tell you I finished "Last Hero". Wow. Epic. So great. Not enough adjectives to explain how much I enjoyed it.

I finished Red Pyramid, but I really had to work at it. If I had a child it would not have happened, I am sure. If it wasn't for the fact that my 5th graders made me promise, I would have stopped too. The ending was pretty good though, but about midway I was so bored. Lol. Skip to about the last 7 chapters and it wasn't bad at all. Too much informational build up, which I am sure will be needed for the next ones. I am reading Lost Hero now, it is crazy how much more I like those. Maybe I am more into Greek and Roman mythology. Which is weird, because I still have a kit that my mom got me for my 10th birthday that came with all of this Egyptian decoding stuff. Lol. I use to write my name all the time. Haha. You would think that would be up my alley. Hummm. Oh well, I really think he is just trying to get all of the information in for the next books. I have one student who never left my Harry Potter side, they even laughed at my Dobby shirt for the movie. :) Ohh yeah, I wore that to school under my button up. :)

I just read the Catching Fire note from Chelsea, and I disagree completely. I loved Hunger Games the most. hummm. So, I just noticed that you have finished the Lost Hero. I am so glad you said it was good, I am reading Red Pyramid now, my students made me start it. lol. We even had a which series is better war, and most of them voted for Lightning Thief over Harry Potter, which I just could not stand for. Silly children. lol.

You're totally right. Catching Fire is better than the Hunger Games. I'm in the middle of it now and it's sooo good.

Hey Amanda, I finished Howl's Moving Castle tonight and turned it back into the library. I hope you're next on the list and can finish it over the weekend. Sorry I didn't get it done faster.
