I've always loved books. As a child I would leave notes on my pillow begging my mom to read to me. English was my favorite subject. I read and enjoyed all the books assigned at school. While a sophomore, we were assigned to read "Les Miserables". I loved it so much, I was at least 100 pages ahead of the class, but then got so depressed that I had to take a short break.
As an adult, I usually read in waves. I get into books and then be out of them for a time. They are my escape. They keep my mind going. They help me learn something new. They help me relearn things.
I love movies as well and will always prefer to watch the movie that is based on a book first and then to read the book. The book is always so much better that way and it doesn't ruin the movie!
Books are the stuff of life.
