Most of my books are in storage, so I’m enjoying the process of itemizing and remembering them here.
I seem to have joined more groups than I can keep up with though.

P.S. I'm a Pomeranian, text addict and armchair philosopher with a focus on the absurd.

Hi, Your shelf is inspirational. I particularly like the 'favorite authors' tagged collection. I must check out Richard Ford. I like all of your favorite authors, but had never heard of him.

again, thank you for kind words about my work and specifying which ones. its interesting which ones you like. i work in two veins:
    1) my formal material, usually heavily textured surfaces using raw elements & finished using blacks or iron oxide so as to bring formality to the piece/s
    or
    2) my experimental work, which i call escape art. its work for me just to free myself from the discipline for a while.
all your faves are the 2nd category, i find that quite interesting.
i also find it quite amusing to be having an art dialogue here in a literary environment.

A............this happened once before with wonderful results, didnt it...........A

I enjoy white in the evening lately, myself. I'll have to check out the two that you mentioned. I have a nice white from Teavana called "To Life" (gotta love that), which is actually a mix of white, red, and green teas. Another nice white from them is Sweet Lily White, which has marigold and rose petals, and some lemongrass ... quite delish!

rauschenburg is a monkey and in recent times his ears have fallen off much like stella... i liked the early raw pieces, refinement may have hurt him, at least for me. why do you ask? are you robert? are you a keen fan? what do YOU think of rauschenburg.
i do think he and his type in the 60'shelped pushed the envelope of expression into a more utilitarian direction and that is good. in one sense he is close to dada thinking and even duchamps own ready made thinking. except that rausch... would use multi elements. i also like that his work often "hangs from the wall" but that is subjective thinking as so does mine.....

I am indeed a tea fanatic. In fact, I had some Temple of Heaven Gunpowder (green tea) at dinner tonight, followed now with a nice cup of Constant Comment and honey! We can talk about my research project whenevr you like.
Akubi is too cute! Happy reading!

we have 4 boox in common, for me that is a lot as my boox are mostly art boox and thus matching up with other "members" is less likely.....

Great book selections. I see that we have many in common. I'm making some notes as I peruse your shelves -- there are definitely some here that I want to check out. What a lovely Pom! Very cool pic.
