I grew up in SoCal in a solidly blue-collar family. I was raised in, and am actively faithful in, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (www.mormon.org). I attended Brigham Young University, majoring in Korean (where I had served a volunteer 2-year mission for my church). I met my wife there and we now have three boys (born 2006, 2008, 2010). After BYU, I attended the University of Minnesota Law School, graduating in 2009.
I am currently a licensed attorney in the state of Minnesota and an avid reader. I love many kinds of books. I enjoy books written about my faith (Mormonism). When it comes to politics, I consider myself a National Federalist/Libertarian and Local Conservative. I believe in freedom, free-markets, and devolution of power to the states. Being so politically oriented, I tend to enjoy reading books coming from that and similar perspectives, though am not opposed to reading books that (likely unsuccessfully) challenge my (thoroughly developed) views of the world.
I also love reading books series, especially those written for younger audiences. I love the wholesome fun-loving nature of childrens' books, including Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, the Chronicles of Narnia, Fablehaven, the Hunger Games, How to Train Your Dragon, the 39 Clues, Artemis Fowl, the Kane Chronicles, the Heir Trilogy, and A Series of Unfortunate Events. That is me in a nutshell.
