    Assalamualaikum aisha!
Ramadhan is leaving us soon and Syawal is coming. I find this year time passes so quickly. How is your preparation for Aidil Fitri? Are your children excited over it? I am busy getting the house clean and making some biscuits and cakes. Been very busy bcoz my maid had finished her contract went back home to Indonesia. So I am the maid now. With work and housework, plus fasting month, I have lost 3kg! Hope all are well with you and your family

Assalamu alaykum, sister. I hope you are well and in good spirits. Please tell me a little about yourself and your family. I know you have an interest in henna, al hamdulillah!
Several years back my family, along with about 5 others, made hijrah to Indonesia as we accompanied our beloved teacher. We live in Jakarta now, and continue to cling to Allah's rope as He guides us day by day.
Where are you from originally and where are you now?
    Wassalaam

Alhamdulillah that you and your family are fine. Kids really can drive us mad at times but without them our life will be empty. I was a very strict and discipline mother to my children when they were young. Now I am more relax and let them be coz I guess I have mould them to be what I want them to be. When time to play and joke with them I will do it passionately but when I am angry no one dare to say a word including my 19 year old son. My children once told me that I rule a communist country at home and not a democracy one. Haha... Now as I age I let them be as long as they follow our Islamic ways.
Dont be despair and feel frustrated with your spending time with your life. Live life the fullest.

"I feel like Islam changes you, you dont need to change for Allah.
The more you study and read, the more it affects your heart, and thus you feel compelled to change many things , simply because thats is what your heart desires."

These are your wise words and I know you are sincere and striving on the straight path.

Isn't it so true that our hearts incline to what is loved, and the more we study, understand and apply in our life from the blessed Prophetic teachings, the more we transform, becoming more in alignment with the will of Allah each and every moment?

May you always be compelled in the purest Way, sister. Was salaam

It is a very interesting book revolving an Indonesian student who studies in University of Al-Azhar in Egypt. He finds his true love by the name of Aisha. which reminds me of you. How's things back home?

ASl Aisha it was nice reading how you came to Islam and it is nice that you came with your true love and husband. I am also a convert from America from Michigan. I have moved to Egypt to make Hijra. I was married to a Moroccain and he died six months after coming to Egypt. I am now remarried to an American muslim. I have two beautiful kids from my previous marriage a boy14, and a little girl 4 years old. I wounder every day why am I her in Egypt. Then I remember Hijra to a Muslim country. But really I feel that this is not a muslim country. There are woman and men that pray and you hear the Athan 5 times a day , they play Quran on the bus and in the stores , but their action are the total contrary. The are very greedy here ,when it comes to money and they steal from their own brothers and sisters that are muslim. I am having a hard time. But then I look a America and miss it but I really don't know if I could return . My friends say that I will last a couple of days and then want to return back to Eygpt. Tell me how you and your muslim friends are handling it over there. Also I want your opinon,do they have alot of people in your home town that teach Quran, and if not do you think that American muslims would pay to have a teacher from Eygpt teach them Arabic,Quran and hadiths? Throught a vertual classroom. Let me know what you think. May Allah (swt) continue to bless you and your family and make things easiy for you along the way.

You bring tears to my eyes gal. I am really touched. I agree with you when you said that converts practice more Islamic ways than the born Muslims. I've seen far too many of that sort. I always advice my teenage children that being a born Muslim doesnt guarantee you straight way to Heaven. Always warned them about premarital sex. Nowadays it is not easy to take care of teenage children. They are rebellious at this age. We must be tactful.
Alhamdulillah , both you and your husband are chosen by Allah to be Muslim. I guess you are a young couple so there is a long way to go especially when bringing up your children as a Muslim in America. I salute to both of you!!

I am a fan of Stevie Wonder too. I just love the song 'I just called to say I love you' but have not heard the song 'Aisha' Hope I am not rude to ask why do you convert to Muslims? Are you married to a Muslim man? How does your parents react to your new beliefs? One of my cousin married a New Zealander and he converted to Muslim
