A bit too overtly Christian for me. Felt like a modernized Chronicles of Narnia with less subtlty.

LOVE it! This book epitomizes what I love about Atkinson. She's able to weave humor into even the most terrible and depressing stories. There were tears of heartbreak when Jack was lost and in tears from laughter when George and Bunty discussed The Floozy.

I would recommend keeping a geneology sketched in the end pages as there are many characters and it can get confusing. Well worth the few minutes to be able to flip back and recall who Cousin Lucy-Vida or Auntie Babs belongs to!

An absolutley gorgeous book. Beautifully written to be enjoyed by young and old alike. This book makes me long for the ages of long summer days and grand adventures with friends. An absolutley must read for anyone who love YA literature!

Infuriating, confusing and frightening. An interesting look into one of the fringe evangelical movements in America.

I was surprised that this was from the same author as "Never Let Me Go." The tone, pace and overall feel of the book are something quite unique from NLMG. Enjoyable and intriguing!

I wasn't expecting a candy coated cutesy set of stories, but many were still too dark and disturbing for me. Animal lovers should avoid this book and stick to Sedaris' other fiction.

"An Object of Beauty" absolutley stands up with the rest of Martin's works. I find it interesting that he once again chooses a female anti-hero with overly developed sexual charms.

I was looking forward to learning a few unkown tidbits but I found the disjointed vignette style didn't allow for it. Overall, quite disappointed and I won't be reading the next two books in the series.

Incredibly disappointed in this book. I found it to be gaudy and dull. Did I just miss something?

I've given in and agreed to read the first book. I don't know if I will make it through to the end. The writing is atrocious and I am tempted to start a running tally of the comma splices. Meyer's writing reminds me of the "short stories" I hacked out when I was in middle school.
I am glad that so many have enjoyed the "Saga" but I am horribly dismayed to read a review that states "Stephenie Meyer is such a talented author with a distinct voice." Meyer is an absolutely horrific writer!
Enjoy the story if you must but PLEASE do not confuse this with good writing!
