Whoa!, you live in London now? or did you just visit there? because if you do, it must be awesome. I like what you have done with your name.

To be frank, I haven't read anything in about a month now, been facing some personal issues, but I do plan on reading some Harumi Murakami once I am free :)

I actually like the first book that you talked about, I would like to read about life in Iran. Maybe I should pick it up.

    Hi AinA,

Nice to hear from you, it's been a long time. I am glad to see that you are working, I hope you find the kind of job YOU want soon. It seems like you had a lot of fun during your masters :)

Anyway, what are you reading these days?

I am great Aina, I just finished the first year of my masters here in the US, have one more year to go before I graduate :)
I too am looking for an internship for the summer, but the economy is still bad, so it is hard :(
But otherwise things are good, you should keep in touch.

How was your Masters? did you have fun?

No problem AinA. Thanks for the acknowledgment. I try to write a little bit of how I feel about a book because I think that is more useful than saying 'yes' or 'no'. I'm pleased my words helped your decision and I hope you enjoyed the book.

:) looks like you had fun!
My trip was good, I had to go to some tribal areas to manage a project there.
had fun meeting tribals, never been to such rural areas before.

When does your degree start ?

Si que es gran si, ja ho veuràs! ;)

He acertat? :P

T'estàs llegint Firmin ara? Me'l vaig llegir a principis d'estiu i em va agradar bastant!

    Que vagi bé!

The book is good overall, though I think he could have ended it sooner - it sort of dragged at the end. A little tedious to start with also, though the overall story is worthwhild

    Hola!

When you have finished the book, or during its reading, go to Google Earth and look at the Karakorums (mountain range where K2 is) and click on some of the photographs taken there, and it begins to sink in where these people live. It's really an amazing eye-opener. I remember thinking quite some time ago, if Osama Bin Laden is in Pakistan, why don't we just go find him? Well, this book will answer that question!

You were wondering whether or not to read Three Cups of Tea? I belong to two bookclubs and it is my favorite book over the past year. Plus, because it is nonfiction, you will learn details about what is going on in Pakistan in the clearest way. Enjoy!
