I have to agree with Picoult's writing. You spend the entire time in love with the book, and then the ending happens.

thanks for the compliment. I fear that I'll never have as many books as you have listed. But one reason could be my embaressmant to put up my star wars and star trek books. I just can't call them goood, fun but not good.

Yes, I am that Viv's "Tom". Neil Stephenson is OK, but sometimes he doesn't "flow" and is hard to read. On the other hand he comes up with some really cool/weird/interesting ideas.
Have you ever read the Lee Child "Jack Reacher" books? I got into them recently and they are real easy fun reads.

Thanks for your nice note. Your shelf is fantastic also - I got a lot of great ideas for my wish list. You have such a full shelf that I am going to have to go through it again and make sure I didn't miss anything!
It's great that you are a SAHM - then you can teach your kids to love reading as much as you do. My mom stayed home when we were young and read to us constantly and I think that is why I love books so much.
