I am 25 years old and have been married for 5 years. We have a 2 year old little boy and we all LOVE to read! Before joining Shelfari, I pretty much stuck with a few favorite authors and didn't read much else. I have gotten a lot of reccommendations here and have read some great books that I may never have found.

Oh my Gosh, that's so nice of you to say, but no I don't. I really liked The Bell Jar too. It was so real for me.

I just read The Bell Jar a few days (week ago) and I really really liked it. Let me know what you think after you read it.

I fell in love with the classics when I first read Little House on the Prairie and the Avonlea series. I found that I really love the Victorian era. I know that I picked up the classics when I read Great Expectations. I loved it. Dickens is a funny author, though. He is VERY wordy (he used to be paid by the word) so if you have the patience, his stories are terrific. I also like Pride and Prejudice (Austen) and was pleasantly surprised by Frankenstein (M. Shelley). These are both great reads and quick, too. I also really liked Uncle Tom's Cabin. It was really progressive for its time period.

Isn't it funny how many books we've both read and we only ONE in common?! Just a thought :)
