-------My Reading Personality: All-Rounder! (Courtesy http://www.bookbrowse.com/quiz/) (I don't believe a quiz.)

My responses showed me fitting equally into all four reading personalities:

Involved Reader: I don't just love to read books, I love to read about books. For me, half the fun of reading is the thrill of the chase -... more »

    Hello.
How is the writing coming along?
I read Siddhartha but did not like it very much. It's more fiction than historical. I picked up a lot of books on Buddhism, Ethics, etc recently.

    Thanks for your friendship request!
If you like Neil Gaiman's writingstyle, you might also like 'Un Lun Dun' by Chine Mieville. It's about a world under ours and specially London. Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' has a the same subject. Both books are really good.

    Keep on reading!
    Greetings, Monique

I don't know something definitive about the Batman casting, just heard a rumor that somebody Nolan cast for Inception could be the next Joker. I guess it's just a rumor. But i guess we'll know next year.
Haven't read Surrogates yet but i'm planning to. Heard that the movie won't be so good. But as long as people get introduced to comicbooks it's ok :-)

Blackest Night is good. The basic idea with the guys coming back from the dead is great. What i don't like about it is that they're just zombies. It's ok that somebody is pulling the strings that make the puppets move but there should be something of a "soul" still be in the bodys.
I know Bryan Talbot from a few conversations i had but if you recommend it i will check it out.

Using drugs is one of those hard nuts. It's the same with medicinal mariuhana. It takes a great deal of self control and knowledge of ones body chemistry to not get addicted when using a drug. I had a problem with medication a while ago. Thought i had it under control until i realised that i'm addicted.
18 Days looks very cartoonish indeed. I'm looking forward to it.

I'll send you some pics of the infamous store :-) I reduced my book count....i feel like i'm taking a vacation from comics in the coming months.

I'd like such plot :-) From what i heard the Miracleman books aren't even that good. Groundbreaking for it's time, but nothing new for "younger" readers. I want to read it tough,,,,
Some guys on ebay are crazy. Guess i'll join their ranks when i sell my He-Man figures one day :-)

That's wednesday comics, i have shot a few photos of me reading it on the crapper for a project :-)

I found your question about The wolves in the walls a little late and I see that you already read it. Since you like it, you could also try Gaiman & McKean’s book ‘The day I swapped my dad for 2 goldfish’. I thought that one was even funnier and sweeter.

I'm also looking forward to Inception. A big part of the Batman cast is already onboard. I like to imagine that they're already working on Batman 3. But i'm still more thrilled for Supermax, the Green Arrow movie that is written by David Goyer.

I hope that Gaiman completes his run on Miracleman (or Marvelman). I also hope that Marvel will put out an Omnibus with Alan Moore's and his run. I wanted to get a complete set of issues from ebay but the people charge an ridiculous amount of money for it. Even for the "loved" ones.

Did you read Blackest Night?? I wonder where this story will go.
Marvel and DC are the two biggest players in the buisness. Others might have the better material but they have the money. And the quality of both companys has increased a lot over the last years. DC is a tad more enjoyable at the moment. Marvel seems to have reached the point that DC had after Infinite Crisis.

I think that Morrison's doing less drugs and stuff. The guy changed a lot over the years. His work is still whacky and exploring new territory but it seems more controlled now.

I found out that this old comic shop i used to frequent opened up in a new location. The guys there haven't changed at all :-) Everybody is on weed and the prices are insanely high. But i like the look of the store, everything is stacked to the roof. You think the shelf will colapse and bury you when you take something from it.

You may be surprised by The Hunger Games. Interesting view of future American civilization and the rise of "reality television.". Not really a light book for kids at all. Try it and see.

It happened the same to me but i can never let a reading unfinished. I expected too much as i read a lot of reviews talking about the books as a new Lord of the Rings in comics, and for me it´s just a good passing time reading.
