Pretty good. I was really wondering whether they were going to escape in one piece or not!

The storyline is fine, but I won't be reading this one again, unless I take a big bottle of whiteout with me. =/

Lots of great info about the KJV -- I'll admit I did get lost occasionally with all the history. =)

    Pilgrim Aflame

    by Myron S. Augsburger
    • Rated 5 stars

Pilgrim Aflame is an excellent book about the Anabaptists and their leader, Michael Sattler. It begins when Michael is still a prior in a catholic monostary, tells of his and his wife's travels through different cities, becoming outcasts and hunted down by the protestants and catholics. They are eventually captured and Michael dies a martyr's death by being burned at the stake, and Mrs. Sattler is drowned for their beliefs.

This book is an excellent read - in my opinion. I even got my parents to read it (and they don't read books very often, other than their Bibles!) and they loved it.

It is about the Christian persecution under the Roman Empire. A soldier is commissioned to go out, find and arrest Christians but first he wants to know more about them and their faith which enables them to meet death with joy. When he enters the catacombs with a guide and finds the Christians, he spends at least four days, I believe, with them and is converted to Christianity. After that, a price was on his head.
Pollio, a 13-year-old Christian boy becomes a martyr because he will not deny his Lord.

    I really like this book!
