Well game world is a sff, first by an indian author. If u read reviews abt it, ppl say its a spoof of LOTR, Potter and othr fantasy fictions, but its a lot more than that. After i finished reading da first part i coudnt wait to get my hands on to da rest of the trilogy. M still in middle of da part to. N now last part is out i m trying my best to finish tis one asap.

    hey Aditi
yep, remember reading Idiot...but that was some years ago. My favorite russian reading was Father and Son by Ivan Turgenev. Amazing work...talks of Nihilism. but also a good story.
Play...ummm...not much done. Have completed the bachground scenes. now have to introduce the main character, the shop owner lady. Stuck..:-), not sure how do people express affection in a play. obviously it cant be direct dialogs saying I luv u type...must come out indirect.
Lets see...while am eager to move ahead. not in a hurry. let it come, let it grow...

ooohh, Yes. I misunderstood your comment. Thanks for getting back to me. I was very curious as to why some one would think that it was not a good title. As you say, it is a very meaningful title.

Had watched a czech movie sometime ago and liked it big time. Am trying to write a play based on that movie,...making it suitable in Indian context.
It is about relationship between a shop assistant and the old shop owner lady. The backdrop is of second worldwar...nazi terror.
The movie shows the relationship turning overtime from very negative to almost loving each other.
Though it not the usual man woman relationship...it is something else...affection, for want of a better word.
Wrote initial 2 scenes...than it is on hold for past one month. :-(
Yep, I have read Shantaram...its quite a pageturner. Just wanted your opinion...
    ciao

Shayari...sirf padhne tak hi hai...madam. Khaksar ko khuda ne likhne ki kabliyat nahin bakshi.

Though I try to write prose...am trying, repeat Trying, to write a play these days. God know if it will ever complete or will be like many previous failed attempts.

Stone for Danny Fisher is a good one from Harold robbins.
    ciao.

    Hi Aditi
    Thanks for accepting the invite.
    Noticed your shelf...quite a variety!

Noticed the Harold Robbins and got reminded of a comment from him during his India Visit few years ago.
He said ' India has given me more respect than any other country i ever visited. going around Delhi pavement books stalls I have seen my name printed as author, even on books that I have never written...I love India :-)"
