I learned to read when I was 3 years old, and haven't stopped since. Ah, the life of an only child. I tend to be pretty eclectic in my reading, though I don't read as much contemporary fiction as I do other things. And with a toddler in the house, I'm reading a lot more kid stuff than I ever imagined I would. I'm experiencing a bit of the "life is too short" midlife reevaluation of, oh, everything, and I consider it a personal victory to have FINALLY learned to be OK with giving up on a book that I don't like. Those books don't warrant space on my shelf here.
My shelf pretty much contains stuff I've read and liked - if I hated it, you won't find it here - or stuff I intend to read in the very, very near future.
I love exploring new books, too, so I welcome any recommendations!
