I see we've been reading some of the same books. My shelf is just books from last year and I was thinking of starting a new one for this year. You've got a few that are among my all time favorites though. Where the Red Fern Grows is one of my favorite books from childhood. (You should read Summer of the Monkeys by the same author if you haven't already.) I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is in my top 5 because I love true stories of people who triumphed in the face of great adversity. (The Glass Castle is another good one along those lines.)
