This book was full of characters who are all horrible and overreact or underreact to everything that happens! Painful to read at times.

This book expresses the tedium of everyday life with no real plot. Not the book for me...

Told in alternating chapters between 14 year-old Mosie, her 30-year old mother Liza and her 45 year-old Grandmother Ginny, we learn the truth about the remains of an infant buried under the Slocumb's willow tree. Ginny quickly recoginizes the box the bones are in belonged to Liza. But if it is Liza's baby buried under the tree, then where did Mosie come from? The author uses short chapters for Liza, who recently suffered a stroke and has limited communication, that eventually reveal the truth and helps build some suspense as Ginny and Mosie try to fit all the pieces together the best they can.

Reminiscent of Janet Evanovich's Plum series. Just smarter.

Jack Osborne and his family's normal life is turned upside down when the FBI arrest Mr. Osborne for drug smuggling. In return for his testimony against the drug cartel, the Osborne's enter witness protection and Jack becomes Zach. This is an exciting, fast-paced young adult book that keeps the reader turning the pages to see if the bad guys ever catch up to the family.

I found this book a little hard to get into because it starts with three groups of people that do not seem connected. They finally all did come together around the halfway point and the book picked up from there.

  • Haunting Jasmine
    • Rated 4 stars

Jasmine Mistry agrees to watch over her aunt's used bookstore even though she is newly divorced and still overcome with anger over her ex-husbands betrayal. Jasmine slowly starts to heal her broken heart with the help of the spirits of great authors past that haunt the store. An unbelievable interaction with one of the spirits kept me from loving the book but it was still a nice book to read for people who love books.

  • Something Blue
    • Rated 3 stars

In this follow-up to Something Borrowed, Darcy Rhone becomes the main character. Reeling from two break-ups and newly pregnant, Darcy decides to move to London to live with a childhood friend. Even though Darcy begins a journey to become a better person, her character is still highly annoying and extremely hard to have sympathy for. If you can get past Darcy's selfish, childish outbursts, this was an okay chick lit read.

A very predictable but enjoyable holiday tale. Thise appears to be the 16th book of a series but can pass as a stand alone novel.
