[------ This is my 3 yr old maltese, Casper the not-so-friendly ghost sporting his new PetSmart hair-do!

Welcome to my book shelf! I've always judged a book by it's cover! Okay, maybe I don't actually "judge" it, but quite often I "choose my next book by it's cover. Can't help it. The books either attract me or they don't! I just got a... more »

No worries about the letters! I was actually thinking of that today. I only got 3 books. :-( But this gives me hope that I might get more! I do wonder if my being in Canada made a bit of a difference there...

Good luck! Depending how things go, and if they don't seem to get better...

    - eventually, put in some kind of barrier at the bedroom door. Something they can see each other through. And have them eat on either side of the barrier where they can see and smell each other. The idea is so that they associate good things with each other. Plexiglass or a baby gate were suggested to me. I didn't have access to either of those things - I used netting.

Of course, with Noodie spending most of her time in the bedroom, Jamie will need a litter box, food and water, toys, and a scratching post in there with her. I imagine you probably already have that set up, since all that stuff would have come from Jamie's place anyway.

Just fyi - it was about 8 months before I trusted my two to be alone together. They say it can take up to a year, but it can also be faster. It completely depends on the cats. These two are still pretty young, so hopefully it won't take as long.

Good luck with what's going on with Jamie. You might want to let her know, too, that integrating a new kitty may not be quick or easy... Hopefully she's doing o.k., though.

The pictures do look related, don't they!? Poor Kiwi...missing her Christmas tree. She'll be so excited to see it return next year! If she even remembers it... ;-)

Nice! I hope you like it. :-) I'm not in any kind of book swapping site like that, but then I don't have very much to send! And not being in the U.S., I don't know if that would work out very well anyway...

Thank you. I really liked how this one turned out too! And I got to put up a nice Christmassy avatar! (At least for a short time.) Well, I could have put up a different Christmassy one, but I love showing off my boys! And thanks for the picato comments. I'll have to take another look today...

I know what you mean. I am always looking for books to read and stuff. It might be 50 book challenge, I am in that one. I also do Play Book Tag. I really like shelfari. I have found more books to read than I would have and these groups have me trying new genre's. It's great.

    Hi,
Yes Wendy the Good Witch. Thanks for the note. Are you in one of the groups that I participate in or did you just see it browsing?

You've added a TON of pictures to picato! I'm not there often, but I just added a few more. And went to see if you had more there. Soon you'll have more than I do...you might already! :-) Happy New Year!!!

Hi! Thanks for the note. Christmas was nice with my parents and brother here, though it was also "eventful"! I plan to answer your email (from ages ago!) tomorrow, so I'll offer more details then.

Apparently all of Canada had a white Christmas this year, which hasn't happened since 1971 they said on the news a few days ago. I thought that was pretty cool! (But then, I like white Christmases!)

Hi Abigail, yes, they probably would or at least give you an ultimatu, We already had two and these came via the boyfriend next door (kitty world b'friend). Mum and three offspring born feral, so we also had to tame them. Cat rescue said they had to be tamed before they would take them on. Of course, the ultimate happened, onc e we tamed them, we loved them and could not give them up even though it cost us money we could ill afford. We lost one in April to a car somewhere and had to have him put down . We loved him as he was the one we would keep first off but then decided to keep them all. Now we have thje one black shorthair and he often sleeps with me, and the striped tabby female who sometimes sleeps with my daughter, when she feelks like it. Hope you have pet insurance as they can cost a lot of money if they have problems.

Hi Abigail I saw your name on Torespanda's page and thought Mmmm, a new kitty, lovely. I am now left with only 2 after at one time having 6. They can be pain and a real joy. I used to have dogs but cats are easier to maintain, I think.
I am English and live in West London.
    Have a good holiday
