Hi there. Just thought I'd drop by. So, I notice you've read Dave Ramsey. What did you think of him?

    Hey Aarmon,

I liked the Alchemist. I liked the flow of the story and the way he was able to dispense the info without making the narrative too heavy. Love your shelf; I'm going to check out the books I haven't already.

hi, I am enjoying that travel book. I esp. liked the sections abt traveling in Morrocco and Turkey (my grandparents used to live there). Since you have real plans to travel.....I really would recommend the book 1000 Places To Visit Before You Die. It is very in depth and offers experiences that are off the beaten path. They do have a nice section on Spain too.

Hey there. Was going thru your list, noticed you don't have Dave Ramsey's book. They had a class on Financial Freedom at my church that was really interesting. I'm still struggling to stay on track, but several couples I know personally have used principles taught in the book successfully.

hi aarmon......sorry to not answer quicker....it ha been a busy week. No, I don't work in forensics, though I think it would be fascinating. I am a nursing student and our science courses cover much of the same material. In fact, one of our labs had a mock crime scene. I guess this is why so many nurses and cops end up married to each other. (not me, just an observation) Right now, I am halfway thru David Brinkley's "The Great Deluge" which is basically a political expose of Louisiana and to a certain extent, our federal government. The incompetence of LA officials is just breathtaking. I thought CA was bad....LOL. After this one, I am going for something a little lighter, a travel book called "a year in the life" about traveling in Europe. God Bless ....... Laura

Cool shelves! Iwaswondering if you have read FREAKONOMICS yet. I really enjoyed the way it teid business/economics together with the psychology/patterns of motivation. It was really interesting, and funny at times, which I enjoyed.

i also happen to think that understanding what TRULY motivates people is somewaht lacking in the business realm today. I mean, every business person has ideas about waht'sgoing to use his product or visit her restaurant, but I don't think there's enough emphasis on what people actually DO and why they do it.

It's like when a restaurant you just love -- fantastic food, good service, a seemingly great location -- just closes up its doors one day because they couldn't make it finanically. I always wonder why, you know?

I think that's the only way to tag books, but the system might be running a bit slow tonight. It usually works pretty quickly.

Thanks for the book recommendation! I've been meaning to read that one for years, but it hasn't quite made it up the queue yet (although I did buy it for my brother). What is your preferred genre of literature?
